a fun summer day!

Today we had a great day. Jane, Jacob and I went to the beach this morning and then Steph and her kids and Mary came over and we went to the sculpture garden. The day finished off by having a great summer dinner at Mom and Dad's.

the weekend

We went to Aaron and Elizabeth's farm for the weekend. It was so fun and relaxing. We enjoyed our time with family, food and chickens. Jacob had fun playing with all of my cousins' kids.

Jacob loved playing on the lawn mower with Elizabeth. Hopefully soon it will be a tractor he is riding with her!

Uncle Bob and Grandma came to see the farm for the day on Saturday. It was so good to see them both and enjoy an afternoon with them.

I am in awe every time I visit at how beautiful this place is. This really is God's country.

no camera

Life without a working camera is no fun. I sent it in to the warranty place and they said I should be getting a gift card to Target to replace the camera that just stopped working soon. Seriously, warranties are a good thing. So, while I anxiously check the mail to see if the rebate has come in you will have no new pictures of the boy who loves the lake, driving his new car, walks a ton, stands up with no help, eats all sorts of new food, loves life and loves his momma. But I can assure he is excited to see his auntie tomorrow home from Hawaii and that he is happy, healthy and only has a couple of bruises from falling.

We had a really fun and relaxing vacation a couple of weeks ago. It was so nice to get away for almost a week.

Jacob and Emelia had so much fun playing and singing together.

There was paddle boat rides, bike rides, swimming, freezer paper stenciling, food, walks around the lake, family and dogs.






Jacob has started walking and today he was walking through the kitchen and was really picking up speed. Scary for the mama because I know running is coming soon! He can also stand up now without grabbing on to anything.

9 months!!!

time sure flies when you are having fun. Jacob has added so much joy to my life in the last 9 months. I really can't believe that he is already 9 months old. It seems like just last month I was bringing him home from the hospital and learning all of his sounds, likes and dislikes.

This week he has even started taking a few steps. Walking is scary to me. He loves Standing on his own and beating his chest. It is really funny to see.

I wish I could post some pictures but my memory card is not with my camera and my camera is not with it's batteries so I have taken no pictures this week. Instead I will post one of my many favorite pictures of Jacob.

Also, we sadly will be saying goodbye to Jacob's first friend Olive. She is going to go to a new house for daycare. Jacob will for sure miss her the most. They had so much fun together taking walks, reading, eating, and having the company of another child so close in age to play with. We were really blessed to have her come over each week and this house will feel a little emptier without her.
