any ideas?

i cannot get my kitchen floor clean. i get on my hands and knees and wash the floor and then seconds later, really maybe not seconds but it feels that way the floor is dirty. im embarrassed because socks are always dirty even if i have just cleaned. you know that swiffer commercial with the baby crawling on the floor. tried swiffer. not only does it stink so bad it doesnt work. ive been using 7th generation all purpose cleaner and a hot rag but still no luck. any ideas?

This past weekend Jane and I may have gotten over our heads in our first garden. We extended the garden and planted more vegetables and herbs and we will and some more flowers and vegetables this week.

We have also been spending more time on our front porch. Dad painted the floor green and the woodwork to cover up peeling paint and my fear of lead paint. The porch is an awesome place to hangout and Jacob loves it the most. He is so happy playing out there and loves the wheels on the strollers. Thanks Dad for your help and thanks to Mom for finding the wicker chairs.

this past weekend we went to denver to visit uncle paul and aunt carla. we had so much fun. we went to a baseball game, took a train, flew on an airplane, visited with cousins we hadn't seen in a long time, ate good food, relaxed and had an overall great time.

It seems to me that Jacob really just always likes to be moving unless he is eating or sleeping. But if he is done eating he will try to climb out of the highchair so now I have been buckling him in and putting the tray on. I do not work on Mondays or Tuesdays right now so Jacob and I had a nice relaxing day and worked on napping. He fell asleep in his crib by himself. I mean I was right there patting his back but I did not have to pray to the sleep angels as I usually do when I place him in the crib already sleeping. Yay! he did this for nap and bedtime tonight. It feels good and I hope it will become routine maybe soon but for sure by the time hes.....(insert appropriate age where sleep becomes routine and easy).

We also went to the park today and played on the swings and in the sand. No school in our neighborhood and Jacob was a hit with the 10 year old girls. They were standing behind me as I took pictures trying to get his attention, he was much more interested in the sand.
