standing

jacob is pulling himself up already!  we were playing in the living room and I turned my back for a minute and then turned back and there he was standing up holding onto his toy. Now all he wants to do is try to pull himself up. This little boy amazes me everyday. 

easter

we had a really nice easter yesterday. lots of family to celebrate with and even an easter egg hunt in the snow! today jacob had shots and i have a very bad tooth ache. its really hard for us to be both in pain although we did sleep half the day which was nice. 

swinging

jacob and i went to the park the other day. it was so nice out and he loved the swing. notice the sand...we woke up to all the snow the next morning and it is still all here. spring in minnesota is so unpredictable! 

sunshine

jacob woke up from him nap and was quick to find the sunshine in the living room. he has also been very hard to change, he is in a really squirmy time and so sometimes it is just easier to slowly put his clothes back on after a diaper change :)

first art project!

yesterday jacob and I painted with his feet. I dipped his feet in the paint and then held him while he "danced" on the paper. his favorite part was washing his feet when he was done. he kicked and splashed in the sink a ton. it was a lot of fun. i want to do more projects with him, does anybody have any other ideas for fun art projects for the very young? i was thinking of using hands next, but im afraid he will just eat the paint...

downward dog

jacob has been doing this downward dog pose quite a bit and sometimes sticking his butt even higher in the air.. of course never when the camera is in hand...

6 months old!

jacob is 6 months old! my how the time has gone by fast, but still slow enough to enjoy all the fun new things he has been up to. it seems so long ago that he would sleep all day wherever we were. so to celebrate his last 6 months i am going to post some older pictures.
