8 months and on the move. four teeth with more coming. loves crawling on her brother and mom.


jacob is a budding scientist with a science kit from aunt annie. he has learned a lot from TV. thank you very much sid the science kid. loves journaling.

camping fun!

We went camping with Elizabeth and David last weekend. Boy, did we have fun. We were not prepared and made a list of things to remember for next time. We had a very open campsite but went for a walk and found sites we would for sure stay at next time. This trip was a quick learning experience for Elizabeth and I on camping with kids. We stayed less then 24 hours and it felt like 42. The kids were all up with the sun and were very tired at 10:30 so we called it a day and headed home. We did enjoy a nice trip to the river so Jacob could get wet a little, next time we will stay longer and he can hangout more in the water. Elizabeth and I did get to hangout sans the kids when they went to bed which was very nice and we were both happy that our kids went down pretty easily. all in all it was a fun time had by all and a perfect meeting place. We will be back to camp again sometime real soon.

happy mother's day!

we had a great day today! We went to have breakfast with aunt annie this morning and then we went to the peace garden and rose garden. We enjoyed looking at all the plants and Jacob enjoyed throwing rocks into a very shallow pond.
we also enjoyed a fun dinner with Grandma and the clan.
I love everything that comes with being a mom, even the poopy diaper changes in the trunk of the car!

happy may day! we are enjoying time outside and fresh bouquets of lilacs in the house.
